Sew at the studio with Sue Larson
Join as a beginner and start by making a hot pad (that heat proof square you use to take a casserole out of the fridge). Next month make a reusable shopping bag or a project of your choosing. Sewers can bring in a pattern (make sure it says “easy” ). We will decipher it together and you can work on a piece of clothing or craft project of your choosing. We have an extra sewing machine but bring one if you can. We will teach you to how to thread it and problem shoot. Bring cotton fabric that you have washed, dried and ironed. You need to prepare your fabric and allow it to shrink before you make it into a piece of clothing. As a beginner avoid thick material like denim or stretchy fabric like knits. If you have some experience sewing and would like some extra help and expertise, Sue is a knowledgeable teacher, excited and friendly!
